Reclamation Turkey Creek Gravel Pit and Canyon View Park – The before and after pictures of this Telluride gravel pit display a dramatic change. The fishing pond was lined and water was augmented from an adjacent stream. The revegetation of any disturbed site is difficult, usually requiring special maintenance. The ‘native grass and flower’ desert revegetation used at Canyon View Park has been successful, but requires periodic watering. |

Base Development at Ski Areas Crested Butte Mountain Resort – Working closely with mountain managers and ski lift designers, Ciavonne, Roberts & Associates has been involved with the grading design of the base of ski slopes, approaches to lifts, and lift loading and un-loading. This has included working with ski-in and ski-out access to slopeside facilities and businesses. |

Special Studies Mesa State College – Mesa State College requested an ‘Image Study’ of their campus. Recommendations included opening view corridors, coordinating site furnishings and lighting, continuity in landscape materials, and developing a signage system. This main identification sign was one result of the image study. Other studies by Ciavonne, Roberts & Associates include Roadway Landscape Guidelines, Downtown Development Studies, and Road Alignment Studies for public and private sector clients. |
