STREETS & TRAILS

5th Street Streetscape

Five years to plan, fund, and implement, this seven-block revitalization added pedestrian pavements/access, lighting, and landscape amenities. Once an 80 foot wide asphalt speedway, landscape and pedestrian ‘bulb-outs’ shortened the pedestrian crosswalks from 75’ to 40,’ increased pedestrian safety, and reduced automobile speeds.

12th and Horizon Roundabout

This reconfigured entrance into Grand Junction initiated progressive traffic calming devices into the community. Ciavonne, Roberts & Associates provided design input on pavement textures and colors, landscape, and lighting that
are integral to properly designed roundabouts … not to mention aesthetics.

Audubon Trail Section

We consider this trail the original 1˝ mile section of what has become the Grand Junction/Mesa County Riverfront Trail System. Ciavonne, Roberts & Associates has planned and designed selections of the majority of this trail system, which along with other trail projects, totals over 25 miles of constructed trails throughout Western Colorado.

Mt. Crested Butte Trails

Trail projects can be significant enough to require long-range master plans that identify the opportunities and constraints that lie ahead. These master plans can aid in soliciting funding and additional support over the multiple years
it may take to implement the plan.
